Some tips to prevent cracking of cherry
Cracking of the fruit is very common in cherry trees.
It happens very frequently in rainy spring due to the excess of water in the environment and to the incapacity of the plant to stop adsorbing water.
Excess water breaks the cuticle and weakens the tissues and penetrates the fruit surface causing an increase in volume of the fruit that itself causes cracking.
Agridaeus suggests the application of Scudotherm that creates a semipermeable membrane that prevents the entering of water in excess in the fruits and the application of Boomergy improves the elasticity of membranes preventing fruits cracking.
